Mummy for me I don't like floater skeleton. And there are no spiders motifs in the mask is a representation of an asp in line with the crown motifs from H3.

This one hard the mummy has a cool design and does not float but the face don't feel necro. The sorceress has the right feel but I really dislike the floating. Really not sure about this one

I dunno the priest doesn't look really skeletal to me,he might just be a really skinny dude,giving his face some skeletal features(or maybe only half of his face is skeletal?).
The fact that they put emphasis on the skeletal part for the undead sorceror sounds to me like the other 2 aren't skeletal.
Also he looks a lot like the necro magic hero,which is kind of a bummer.
I am not saying he looks bad,but I can see why so many seem to favor the sorceror and the mummy over him.

I guess if the Undead Sorcerer wins, closely followed by the Ancient Mummy, it may be negotiable to give him proper legs to walk, since it is -in my mind- the best argument in favor of Mummy.
I definitely agree with you saying the Undead Sorcerer has the closer feel for a Lich.

Actualy I hope this will happen - Undead sorcerer to win, then he would have normal H7 face instead of skull in final model ... that ... would make my day

If that would happen, no moderator is going to be able to stop the tidal wave of hate that will follow  .

Well, his face is covered, that was one of the possible ways I could have accepted a non-skeletal lich, or a literal skull cap, so to me it wouldn't be terrible if the priest actually won, as long as they retain the covered face of course...

Don't read too much into the posings. The artists was asked to make them look different in attire and pose, but that doesn't mean the final unit will float or point fingers ingame. Since it will be a brand new model all animations will have to be done from scratch anyway.
Also, the names given to each concept is just to give them a clear identity. The unit will still be called Lich/Archlich in the game.

Which is pretty much what I've been saying. But that's just how people react...

You make it sound so easy. You don't know how unpleasant it is when a bunch of spiders walk into your skull's empty eye sockets and you can't get them out.
That being said, I don't think everyone would enjoying showing off their bare skull to everyone, you know.

Priest of Death has really grown recently... At first it seemed it would be Undead Sorcerer vs Ancient Mummy, with Sorcerer taking the lead, but now it seems that a humble Priest has found his way to actually be a respectable rival for both of them...
I'm still hoping for Ancient Mummy's victory, myself.
