@LucJ, there are more than 800 people able to use the ARMG succesfully and I believe some of them already have windows 10, i have never heard of any of these messages.

Could you first make sure:

-Patch 3.1 is installed!
-maps and usermods folders are empty (except files starting with MMH55..)
-data folder doesn't contain any files from other mods.
-Make sure the mod is installed in right directory, the installer cannot autodetect the right directory.

Try loading some of the included maps first (names starting with H55) and see if the game works normal. Check if the witch huts ask you questions, find some new artifacts etc.

The 1/x issue is hardcoded and cant be fixed so easy...

Maybe if magno uses different text files, if a hero equips them and changes the text using a script... ^^ i think he mentioned that and has seen that it is not going to work

Playing the game with MMH55_Utility.exe does that, but you lose the 8th skills, they are tied to the new AI.




Well bunch of official maps (for example Rise of Power, Battle of Sexes, Divided Loyalities and yes I added scripts to them). Casual game mod I think was off I had changed AI to agressive.

??? You don't need to activate scripts on default maps, clean out your maps folder the maps you are using are worse than the ones included.

If casual game mode was deactivated you must be a very good player. replay the map and on first day type console command:

@H55_ChallengeMe(x);

where x = your player number

now the AI players will not bother fighting each other.
if it is still too easy restart map and type console command:

@H55_KillMe(x);

Are all of the .exe files of your mod supposed to be in the Bin Folder(Directory)? That is where I found them to be right after the installation of said mod.

Did play and lost the Tiny map of the two warring factions of elves of Ashan(Sylvan vs. Dungeon). Yes, the witch huts are in fact, asking the questions you made them to do so. Did find a raise dead scroll and, my hero auto. include it in his spell-book right-a-way. Did encounter hidden neutral armies in your newly made adventure objects.

Are visiting heroes supposed to auto. hide within the Castle's walls and make it a siege if you get to attack them? That is the main cause of my imminent loss to the Dark Elves' underground heavily fortified City.

BTW: As an experience Modder, are you not familiar with corruption of files that have been too accessed over a period of time via these filing storage web-sites such as MediaFire.com? I think that you are.

Good then you installed mod properly,
if you have issues generating maps with MMH55_Editor.exe they could be related to user-made maps containing copies of important files. A clean install can ensure the game is indeed 'clean'.

You should know MMH55_editor and H5_editor are technically identical (only 1 number is different) if the new editor doesn't work under windows 10 than the old one shouldn't work either. Maybe your virusscanner has falsely flagged it.

No. The antivirus program did not open a window saying that your mod had dangerous data or files. No reaction what-so-ever. But it looked like a Windows syntax or C++ coding's lack of compatibility between the two of them.

I really do not know how to use the map editor and, I did appreciate that the pop-up window shows up right-away. There's a line saying that if it is set at "0" then the ARMG will make everything Randomly. Could this not function properly, also?

Like I said before, since Fall of 2006(Hammers of Fate), I have, always, used the already included RMG feature of the game to make my own, continuously different maps and, choice of quantity of players to them. Once the map would be created by the Editor, will it be included in the pool of maps of the game or, do I have to do a copy and paste to the Maps folder of the game?

I've just bought HOMM5 Bundle from GOG to play this mod.  I take it you need to install HOMM5 + Hammers of Fate before you install HOMM5: Tribes of the East?  I take it that Hammers of Fate is a standard expansion (requires the original game) like Armageddon's Blade, and Tribes of the East is a standalone expansion like Shadow of Death (does not require the original game)?  I take it that if you don't install HOMM5 + Hammers of Fate expansion you miss out on content, and that the mod specifically requires the original game, Hammers of Fate, and Tribes of the East to function?

Maps created by MMH55_editor -> tools -> advanced RMG, will be immediately added to the game, you do not even have to save them if you don't make changes. Seed should always be 0, unless you want to use a specific seed.

MMH55 will merge all content from HOF and Vanilla in TOE, if you had TOE standalone, you would not need to buy HOF/Vanilla because everything is included, you miss nothing.

I guess what I was asking was: I bought HOMM5 Bundle on GOG and I have the two sets of installations, do I have to install the H5+HoF or does TotE already have all of the previous content?

I have it from GOG too. Just install ToE and you are fine to install H55.

I can confirm two problems that were mentioned earlier in this thread.

In C4M3 I got a CTD in the very first enemy turn. I had disabled the AI for all seven visible enemy Dungeon heroes, but still. Several reloads didn't do any good. I had to use @Win(). The final two C4 scenarios worked like a charm.

In C5M1, Biara didn't move at all after appearing. Right next to her was a Necro hero, who didn't move either. It almost seemed as if he/she was blocking Biara. The activity bar for the red player (Biara) did show briefly in every turn, but no movement whatsoever. Since I was supposed to destroy the red army, but wasn't allowed to cross the border, I was pretty much stuck and had to resort to drastic measures once again (@Win()).

I really hope that you (the MMH55 team) will be able to sort out these problems eventually. For me, they are just a nuisance, but for others the may be a deal breaker. However, I have full confidence in you.

You could try with MMH55_UTILITY.EXE, it don't use new AI code, but you keep all MMH55 features.

I had a trouble with Zehir during 2nd Mission, Zoltan cross my territory with large army(probably, he joins army from 2 Necros and his friends).

I freeze AI(moving H5_AIProcess out of bin folder), level up Zehir along getting stats and army, than continue mission.

Still the worse was capturing Lorekeep, too many army, with Luck and 10+ attack hero. I just waited for backup and did it. Only 3 missions left. Will see how Zehir will handle the Knights and Markal.

I'm getting a crash during the last AI player's turn when I end the turn from this save.  I am using MMH55_64.exe on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.  Does the 4GB RAM required for the 64 bit version mean 4GB free or just 4GB total?  If it's the former, that could be the problem.  But I will let you check out the save just in case.  It is from the Epic XL random map with underground, no water and very strong monsters included in the latest release of the mod installed on a clean H5:TotE GOG version.  Note I cleared all the other saves out of the save directory so that wasn't the issue in this case.

!!! CRITICAL UPDATE !!!

NEW VERSION RC2 (v551) released!

RC1 added so much new content that unfortunately some critical bugs slipped through the net, so I had to make a whole new release much sooner than planned. RC2 is the result of many days of stress testing and a large revision of the MMH55 scripts. It will generally improve the stability, performance and AI adventure map behavior of MMH55. Also included is ATB randomization reduction to 10%.

-Fixed Fatal AI turn crashes with Dungeon and Academy towns.
-Fixed AI getting stuck visiting battle sites (crypts etc.)
-Fixed Fatal AI crashes in Campaigns, Singleplayer maps and demo maps.
-Fixed Scripts crashing when AI receives rewards and various stuff.
-Reduced chance for AI leaving artifacts on adventure map.
-Improved response time of scripted adventure objects.
-Made text message info from AI players invisible to human players.
-Fixed script bugs in C3M3, C3M4, C1M5
-Moved Academy hero out of the way in C3M1
-Fixed Laszlo name and specialization.
-Fixed Archmage codex missing .xdb file
-Limited Artifact merchants for Dungeon/Academy to 1 if map has multiple of such towns. (balance)

TRANSLATION

-Added separate file for all text files to make translation easier.

UPDATE FOR MAPMAKING

New template allows placing all new artifacts and ultimate
items on the adventure map. (will upload soon)

INSTALLATION

Uninstall RC1a using shortcut in start menu, then install RC2 (no reboot required)

SAVED GAMES

Old saved games with crash issues cannot be salvaged, the maps need to be restarted.

What about artifact sets and their bonuses?

In original game on console was info if we equip 2, 4, 6 or 8 artifacts from same set.

The artifact set counter cannot be made dynamic, the effects are working.
