I agree,if HotA was open source it would no longer be HotA,in the same way it would no longer Era and Vcmi if the code was closed

Actually, there are only like 3 artworks on a span of 6 years.

Yep, I got overboard with the "tons" thing. I just simply saw a few things I didn't see before

I played several games of HotA recently and kinda little disappointed not very much has been changed in past few years. Some secondary skills are still super weak such as Learning, Eagle Eye, etc. Some weak high level spells could ve reworked, such as enabling Mass Frenzy, Mass Magic Mirror, etc. Some busted lvl 1 spells could be higher lvl spells such as Slow and Haste. I also wonder why was Resistance reworked? HotA was supposed to stay loyal to original franchise as possible
Sorry for kinda nitpicking... but it would make the game more balanced since there are so many obvious busted things and weak things currently

This probably isn't the place but any tips for Bidley's first map? I've had to restart it like 12 times so far which is weird because I rarely struggle in campaigns.

Having played through the HotA campaign, I think I can safely say that the difficulty for it is a tad... much.
I know HOMM3 players are expected to work with limited resources and all, but there are several levels in the campaigns where you can't even get a Town Hall, which is absolutely brutal. Being constantly starved for gold while your enemy has enough to spare is NOT a good way to increase challenge. That just makes things extremely frustrating.
Another major annoyance with said campaigns is how often your heroes get stuck or jammed because the pathways are frequently narrow, only allowing one hero through at a time. Compare that with various 3DO/NWC-made campaigns, where various maps have wide open areas for heroes to move in and only have movement clogging in specific instances. Combine this with HotA's nerf to Logistics (as well as to land mobility artifacts), and moving around maps becomes a major pain.
Campaign 2, Map 2 (when you first get Casmetra) is a huge offender in both cases. You can't get a Town Hall, the southwestern base can only be approached through a very narrow road, and your movement is always going to be sluggish even with Logistics + Pathfinding because of a serious lack of roads in some areas. And don't get me started on the first Bidley level; that one seems only intended for HOMM3 tournament players.
I'm not saying the campaigns are bad; the story is good, the characters are likable, and it embraces a lot of things that made HOMM3 great, but there's definitely room for improvement. In particular, things need to be done to tone down the difficulty so players of average skill can reasonably be expected to be able to win.

I thought the idea behind the campaigns is that they are made by Heroes veterans for Heroes veterans (I even remember some HotA guys saying the point of the campaigns is for them to be challenging). If you want to make this game harder you must use some "under-handed" tricks like limited resources or map obstacles. And thus it might feel unfair for some... remember HotA team is not doing some kind of charity work here, so take the thing at face value (and the value itself is quite high, we are talking about a full-scale expansion for 0 money).

I don't know if you're still looking for the solution, but this polish guy is a pro player and he has videos on YT about HOTA campaigns:

Also, if you're struggling with that map, you probably won't be happy when you reach scenario map called Frontier.

I have to agree that they quite overdid it. I managed to beat them eventually (always speaking at 200%) but it was after I spent hours trying to figure out the details that would give me even a tiny advantage.
The two hardest missions?
Heart of Water
Evenmorn
Frontier is also hard yes, but I think it was much easier compared to the two nightmare missions I stated above.
I could make a detailed video walk-through if only a few players here would be interested.

Imo the root of this campaign problem is that one can only play hota campaigns in hota enviroment. So eventually as only they are available, players with not as much experience will only have the choice of trying to play them or not playing campaigns at all (in hota enviroment.) They have said that the original campaigns will get released at some point, so this problem will likely be fixed eventually.
