If HotA were to improve the spell, how would you go about it?
Originally, I thought of changing it to trigger 100% of the time, but only being able to reflect a limited number of spells (1/2/3 based on skill in Air Magic). However, comments I got on Reddit said it would just end up being a more situational and arguably worse spell compared to Anti-Magic (even if it would allow you to buff your creatures while Anti-Magic prevents that).
As such, the safest approach would probably be to make it a Mass spell if you have Expert Air Magic. This would probably be the best way to go about it, but the spell is still RNG-dependent.
What do you think would work?
I made Magic Mirror a mass spell at Expert Air Magic.
It's still very situational and very expensive though.
It's like the only purpose of the spell is to protect Gold Dragons from Implosion. (But why design Gold Dragons so terribly in the first place?!)

With a language like that, you would think mods have better things to do than care about a bit of off topic chatter.
It's inevitable, it happens in every thread, you drift off the topic and begin talking about different things.
He came with a suggestion, he might not know about the ideas and suggestions thread, you can't expect everyone to know about that.
I guess you prefer this thread silent, dead and buried instead.

Do you know The Immortal Battle (WoG/ERA) map is coming?! When an original map must/would be HotA version.. But HotA team delayed so badly.. Elite or legendary map never come again.. My old skill and vital OP bring to the Immortal Battle from my maps and also other maps.. If you are also playing WoG/ERA.. You understand why the Immortal Battle then.. Ok our eternal question: when will the 1.7.0 version release?! An example I, and Sal can't publish HotA maps.. No sense to update a map again, etc Many mapmakers are inexperienced.. My fault, when I made a few HotA maps.. I thought HotA means Cove.. But what did it have to do with the Factory?! So the best be waiting.. Don't make a map.. I remember they nerfed Logistics.. First HotA is 100% ready.. Ok the Immortal Battle.. Image! 4 Castle human/AI fight from the winner becomes walkthrough vs opponent has 4 towns, but one Grail in the town, and only +10 att/def is more, thus the Grail. When I counted experience points, everything military and magician PS from Arena, etc to opponent's hero, and then winner walkthrough has only 1lvl spells vs opponent with mastered spells.. Gnoll out, and replaced Haspid, but now's Hell Hydras.. Harder than Elite.. But story will continues to the next opponent.. If walkthrough beat the opponent.. I wrote Hell Hydra and the Grail, so of course Fortress.. Later on stronger opponent than my Resurrection of Fear (SoD) map.. When Inferno has Archangel stats and values, etc also +20 PS and mastered spellcaster at 4lvl for your random 2lvl spells from Fortress, but not Cure and Dispel yet.. And final opponent is a godlike.. A map is still an easy to me*.. Even if EE showed important.. Ok if HotA could better..
*Yeah strong MP can beat the map.. It required!

But you don't play WoG/ERA.. Demanded strong MP expert.. I would like HotA.. So I announced that HotA lost one crazy map.. Because delayed badly.. if you play WoG/ERA too.. Map is coming soon this month.. You find in maps4heroes, and my name's Jani Aarnio in the maps4heroes, I hope you call me Ghost.. In there a few HotA maps.. or in total 31 maps plus H4 10 maps.. artifact.def crash
Hi All,
Haven't played for quite a while, after updating and trying to start HotA HD game crashes with error about not able to find matching artifact.def file and telling me to reinstall the hota addon which I did and still got the error after that. Please advice.

Artifact.def is installed with Lords of the Ring map mini-mod. Delete this file manually from /Data folder (after finishing this map of course).

Hi guys, I need some help. Feel free to point me to the right thread since im unable to find solution.
Sometimes when I play the game, it suddenly stops working, no error, no pop up windows, it just freezes. I cant do anything but to perform hard shut down on my laptop.
What may be the cause and solution to this?

Glad to hear some more news, even if it's not the news I was hoping for.
Also, not to get too conspiratorial, but on October 31st someone added a section to Factory's talk page on the wiki saying that something was being announced on the 7th. They also vandalized the main page to say that Factory was released some time between November 9th and 20th. I thought they were just a troll, but I wonder if they have some kind of insider information now. It's not too far-fetched; it sounds like the update is pretty much ready now.
I dunno, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I highly doubt it will come out that early, considering they need to finish the text in the campaign maps, and make a new creature balance to replace what was in the alpha from Streamfest 2019. Considering how many times they can work out the details of the same render until they reach their phantom ideals that the casual player won't even see and the aesthete won't pick on, they can do this until February 2024, but that's the deadline. The build itself was ready and fully playable as early as September.
But nothing prevents us from hoping for a release in the 20th of November. I'm hoping that Crew will finally stop pulling the factory, release it, and take a break.

The 20th is a little less than two weeks from now. I don't think it's impossible for them to book voice actors (that'll take one day minimum, max a week depending on each actor's schedule), and writing is the easiest thing to do, especially if the story is already outlined and finished. I don't think it's impossible.

What do you mean by that? I thought the creature balance was already done since July, and all they've been working on is the campaign. I mean, I'm sure they've been constantly iterating, but I doubt they haven't touched creature balance for four years.

Thank you from bringing these up once again.
It seems that the Factory is pretty much ready, and since the campaign is also pretty much done, they've decided it's best to roll them out simultaneously, while the bugs are being ironed out. Despite the rumours, and when presented like this, I think the most likely scenario is the New year release.
