I think DDT should be in the wastelands. The style of the thread, is wastelands material.
Sending the thread won't kill the thread at all. If it's an interesting thread, then people will still visit it.

What do you think the tavern is supposed to be for?
It's a tavern for certain people that they think dont fit into other threads like TT.
WHo really gives a hoot.
Then again, maybe it's a hard lesson for them to learn to quit talking smack & learn to fit in.

I think it's one of the best threads in Tavern for months.
As for the Down-Town issue:
Real_Deal.
1 - the modhat isn't for show, when I asked for the job I accepted the responsibilities that go with it.
2 - you were given the chance to change that post yourself, you didn't.
3 - the thread being in the wastelands will not kill the thread. Since it gets so many posts per day, it is often in the 'last 5 replies' section of the index page. Newbies will therefore be clicking on it to see what's recently been posted and where, then it is up to you the rest of the down-towners to post interesting posts in the thread so that newbies will WANT to post in the thread. Whether or not the thread is in Tavern doesn't change this fact.

I pretty much agree with Sir_Stiven and Pandora here, except for the thing about links to other websites. I'm not sure why he's bringing this up, but I don't think it's such a bad thing occasionally as long as it doesn't get excessive.

I strongly disagree with SS about linking to other forums. Just because it is a word free community and you are allowed to make a proposal to another board. But I'm not happy with MODS advertizing other boards. As for myself, I never had a link or advertized GG, when I was still a mod.

Well... About the part with the bad behaviour in DTT, I'm forced to agree(altough it wasn't a stupid tentative to point this disscusion at UM's thread, it was just a defending fact related to the DDT problem... )But that doesn't mean that you must put all of the people that post there to the wall. Sir_Stiven: Don't know what would be the problem with my signature, and has nothing to do with my posts. Also by tossing thing, I was reffering that while somepeople really know how to toss( welcome back Cat), some have only 1 moment of inspiration for 1 month.
Btw, I must say that I'm a humble man, that doesn't deserves to have the hounor to be called Dalai-Lama..  So, please leave this privelege to those who deserve it...

RSF&LK i dont think you read my post properly. Firstly im against commerical for other heroes boards... not other websites. And as i said im mostly against "posts which solely purpose is to make commercial for another board".
I dont like the regular links as a part of a post or in a signature to other heroes boards either but they i can still accept.
What i have problems is posts which basically consists of:
"Moderator L sucks and is powerhungry. He makes this board a bad place and then i havent even mentioned moderator R who is even more powerhungry bla bla bla... come and join me and many other people at the new super very rock n roll best heroes board instead".
Thats non contributive whatsoever and it as i mentioned earlier only brings bad things.

To all you dudes out there who can't read or just think that they know better than what is written:
WHY DTT was mentioned here:
SH wanted to know why we didn't have a rating. End.
WHY SH's signature was like that:
He was nice to ruby. End.
Why DTT was mentioned here, AGAIN.
You wanted to throw us away. We didn't want to go. End.
Look at the last 5-6 pages of TT, and see how many people post, and how frequently.
Look at DTT, look at how many has posted, and how often they post.
You're "tossing" as you call it, are insults, but with a hint of humour and sarcasm.
You're "rapping" as you call it, are insults, brought by song, between 2 dudes who are friends, just for fun, and we had "cheerleaders"
To Dingo, i don't care what you think, because you're posts are always boring, they have no real input, so you belong in the Wastelands, and only there, aswell.
Now disagree all you wan't, see if i care.
And to the Commerical thing, i agree with Stiven.

I have seen few valid arguements from the people of DTT. Pointing the finger at others is not the way to win an arguement. But that's besides the point.
Now Here's your chance to give input for additional QPs in any Tavern thread. QP nominations from members are always taken seriously.

Well people. I didn't come to HC to get mad because people didnt like what I wrote or what posts I wrote in. And I didn't come in here to get pissed off because someone wanted to delete the thread I write in. Because WE'RE JUST TYPING! It's not a decision of life and death. If some people wanna delete us then who the heck cares? It's a message board. I may not be old and *mature* as some of u people call it, but I know that arguing about a thread is a waste of time. If u people just wanna go a head and keep arguing about something that you'll forget about when u get off the computer and have a drink of beer, then fine with me.
And about the *getting on the top ten threads* thing, I don't see how getting on that list makes any thread better. Aren't we just here to have a good time, not to set some record? Well, I'm all done in here Have a great day people. Much love.

I would like to see that "ultimate male" thingie get deNominated. Maybe you think he was funny, but it was none the less an insult, i don't think he should get a penalty, but rewarding it would be .. well bad.
I would like to nominate Stiven for his "Gods gift to women" thread, that made me laugh.

nono no friggin QP:s for that thread.
the game is still under construction due to circumstances i still cant do anything about and its starting to get to me
image editing is nice idea.
UM guide is QP material from start, while image editing should be given some more time IMO to see if the activity keeps up (ive seen threads with good ideas like that die earlier once the QP has been given out) the UM guide is one of the funniest threads in tavern and truely deserves a QP IMO.
As for further nominations: tossers tavern has some gold nuggets recently that deserves credit IMO.

I'm in agreement with Private Hudson getting that QP - its a nice thread, good idea plenty'o'fun snaps for Hudson!
The UM Guide is great stuff - i agree too that's its definate QP material. Its kinda sad that some people are actually choosing to see it as literal insults - where's your sense of haha people?

Yea the UM guide deserves qp's in a few places. I think TT should have a look through co as Stiven said there are some funny moments in there!
Sorry to bring up the DTT again but i have to say this. Who cares how many posts it gets? Who cares if its all spam or whatever. I dont read it and it doesnt bother me. If the thread is breaking the CoC as someone said before, that needs to be addressed. But about the DTT being over active and being moved to the wastelands thats stupid. Just leave it where it is and if it gets to much delete the thread and make another one!

The way these new mods are dealing with the problem then the older ones is not as effective & closing a thread of DTT is not going to stop the problem.
I already gave you advice of what you should do Sox.
I would advise to flex some of your mod power if you have to.

A Quick Observation
While all of this nominating, debating, criticism, and opinions about who deserves a QP has been going on here, injustice and crimes are being committed throughout this Cybergeek Breeding Ground you refer to as The Tavern of the Rising Sun.
I just saw a Moderator award a QP to a new topic that contains about as much quality, effort, thought, and originality as a doorknob, and it is not a topic that has even been discussed here, to help narrow things down. If I need to elaborate on this, I will; however, I feel that most of us here can figure this out for themselves. While you are doing this...
