Alright, who moved us into the wastelands? I think that this is the most BSfull thing that i have seen in this Community. If DTT deserves to be in Wastelands; you have work to do, because there is ALOT of threads that should be there to, maybe this sounds like whine, and it is, but truthful whine.

To clarify hopefully for the last time Shai-Hulud recieved a warning for using the S word in his post. As you read it, you will see it appear as ****, however that is the board's auto censor - it was not done by Shai-Hulud.
Now for those of you who do not understand why I directed you to the CoC here it is:

Basically he Stated his posts were boring, the exact same as what Cathrine mentioned as not being an insult & that is a fact.

Well I've read and re-read this about 1000 times now, and maybe its all the spam but I'm having some trouble wrapping my mind around what exactly the problem is here.
I'm looking for something that cannot be solved by stepping back and taking a deep breath, and you know what? I can't find it! Everyone needs to relax a bit because it's getting ridiculous around here...
I do not want to seem like I am dismissing anyone's complaints here - I'm just questioning what they are exactly because no matter how often I read I just don't know what anyone is looking for as a solution.
To Stefan, I think the only way you will get an answer to the why did Kitten give a QP question is if she posts here, or if you IM her. No one can answer for her actions but her.
As for the boring poster/ boring post thing... what to say? A warning was given, not a -QP I really don't think it's the end of the world. I think that too many people are becoming too uptight and looking WAY to hard at things that honestly should not be a big deal.
Its my opinion that if Dingo was upset by RealDeal's comments, they should talk about it. Yelling for -QP's does not seem to be a productive solution, trying to understand each others' points of view does.
In the same vein, Dingo, if you feel a thread should be moved to wastelands - why not IM a mod rather than post in the thread that it should be moved? People have expressed to you that they do not like you doing that all the time, so why not respect it?
To Aculias: we're friends, but we often disagree - reading through this thread I've seen the majority of your posts to be attacking Redsox, accusing him of favortism etc Its not helping here. I know that you care about the HC, and I think you could be a big part of helping make it better - but not by constantly tossing such negativity into this thread.

Actually, no, that wasn't the example I made. Ok, here is my definitive "boring guide"
1) "This thread is boring" (in the isolated article).
This deals with the individual thread, only the individual thread after reasonable grounds have been espoused for it being boring (ie, boring due to XXX).
2) "This post is boring" (isolated)
This deals with the individual post, only the individual post after reasonable grounds have been espoused for it being boring (ie, boring due to XXX).
3) "This poster is boring" (personal article)
This specifically singles out a person and all his/ her work, and is potentially offensive.
4) "Everything this poster writes is boring" (personal article)
This specifically singles out a person and all his/ her work, and is potentially offensive.
5) Examples 1 & 2 above without valid cause meantioned.
So "This persons posts are ALL boring and ALL belong in the wastelands" includes cataergory 3 & 4.

Look at DTT. Dingo has just replyed there "DTT is finally where it belongs!" hmmm, that sentence was made so that we'd feel joy?
The typing under his name, he calls himself GOD of dark spam. as a Christian i didn't like that at all, i might use the expression now and that myself, but everytime i see it it annoys me. I Didn't mention it. Why? Because to most people it would just be empty whine, but seriously, i don't like it one bit.

I have absolutly nothing against Dingo, i think he is a great guy. But i have to agree with RD that advertising spam in your status, sig or whatever is an issue that should be taken as seriously as spamming itself.

Well.. Look in Ultimate Males' latest thread... and you'll see know how apsming works. Ultimate Male wanted that thread to be as interesting as his other one. But there go a few guys try to ruin it. Now realy Dragon Slayer... You are talking about Real Deal beeing a spammer.. Well I must dissapoint you, but he only spams( even I don't considered that) in DTT and a few more places. But when he is set to write he writes. Same for my. I like to have a little chat with others.. But when it seems that a thread deserves a post, that at least should be tried to be good, will I will do it.
Again I must reffer to UM. Look in his guide. Dingo wrote only posts that are from 1-3 lines long and are off-topic( as I see them and I think most of the members). So, in conclusion you can't say that Dingo is a saint... Hope you got the point..

If you actually read my post i said that i completly agree with RD and that i dont like how Dingo advertises spam. I never said Dingo was a saint, nobody is. Now you have made a fool out of yourself once, start reading peoples posts properly to avoid doing it again.

Today I have found that my sig was gone. I checked in my profile and it really was not there. Did a moderator dispose of it or what? If it indeed was caused by a moderator, why did I not get a warning prior to deletion?

So basically instead of wasting all that time and keyboardtyping of yours you could just have written "everything is relative" then?
Because IMO thats just many big words about nothing.
Put it like this, member X spends several hours thinking about and creating a thread. Once done following happens:
member A says: this thread is boring because there seems to be no real idea behind it.
Member B says: this belongs in the wastelands
Member C says: Boring thread
Member D says: Boring as usual.
Point is if you start disecting these things and just try and make it like one of these is an insult while the others aint your just lost.
Thats like saying: there are no certain agenda, but the moderator can act in those cases where they want to.
Which leads to..favouritism.
Something we all know is there and that we all know is wrong.
By setting up set directions to follow you reduce that.
Personally if i would to decide none of the member A-D sayings would be insults though. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and that includes using words such as "boring", "n00b" and "wannabe" etc. And if you give you must be prepared to recieve some tosses too
Someone said this discussion is ridicioulus.
Off course it is, there is no point in denying that.
But im only raising it because i think its even more ridicioulus to see certain people affected by these relative standards and some not.
Just let it be instead, people must be able to have fun here too and removing every other word isnt the way to go. If someone thinks something or someone is boring then so be it, let it go and have fun instead.

So if I say, "Stiven, you have the face of a toad and genitalia of a size that would make a Lemur laugh." that would be a direct insult and I would somehow be punished by someone(It would have to be pandora considering I'm still her b1tch).
But if I said, "Everyone who posts on this topic or complains about QPs are insufferable pygmy crossdreessing lawyer wannabes." That would be a general insult and be OK.
How about if I said, "Hey Cat is bort really a canadian?" That's a questiion but the insult is implied and it still might be OK.
Disclaimer: I have never seen Stiven genitalia or know if bort is canadian so all insults are just for example. I have at no time intentionally insulted anyone in the HC.

...or you could just use that common sense most humans are gifted with and figure out for yourself that if i say "all foo bums that has first letter O in their names and their names end with ldtimer are still not having a clue about what this is really is about..they are just being a jackass" isnt a general insult but its just a boring way to put it so you wont have to face any consequences.
Im not raising this boring issue because i think its fun.
Im raising it because it obviously leads to favoritism and i think its just bad for the community.
And if you wanna know the size of my genitals just ask, be warned though.. you will problably suffer from a minorvalue complex for the rest of your life
