What should I say about that? The Wyvern must be in the game!!!!!!

OK. In the middle of the thread you said that the Hydra is not a real creature. But it is and I have studied it in the 7th grade in school. Haven't you studied Biology?

Hmm... an alternative to the Dragon Golem? Well... I would think if they really wanted a dragon, the crystal dragon would have been fine. They could have made it all blue'n'purple sparkly like how they made the crystals on the Adventure Map. Gives +1 crystal per day.
But for new and original ideas, the Titan is a level 4 shooter right? And the Dragon Golem is supposed to be a walker that attacks with a melee attack. So what I would suggest would be a creature that moves quickly, and is fitted to the wind/air/snow enviroment theme. I would think that a Valkyrie would be a befitting Level 4 companion to the Titan. The Valkyrie is of Norse legend, which would fit in with dwarves and titans I think, and is of the Shield Maidens of Wolkov (Brunhilde from Das Nibelung; Female human warrior riding a fast white horse with a winged helmet equipped with spear and shield)They would be very fast, have first strike, enhance morale, and charm or seduce or some other special ability. It's just an idea I guess.

Hmmmmm
That animal could be likened to the Pegasus, since it flies, and has a rider.
Yeah, a Crystal or Blue Dragon might have been OK. Another idea may be to have an Ice Giant or something. That is also just an idea.

Yes, i like that idea of a Frost or Ice Giant, since the Tower town in HoMM3 was snow and ice. Although in HoMM4 it is a mixture of different towns. This makes the frost giant less of a possibility. We could maybe have a lizard that walks, but is in its element in the cold. Since the other creature must walk, because the Titan is a shooter.

LordTitan's message about the numbers of Dragons should be cut down? I disagree with that. The numbers are high but they shouldn't decrease.
Personally I think 3do should start including drakes, a lower level than the dragons. Maybe that could replace the numbers of Dragons in games...
Dragons are kool mythical creatures, and in my opinion, Heroes in the future should again have more towns and fit more dragons in them.
Dragons are kool...
Dragons are strong...
Dragons are mythical...
Dragons can fly...
Dragons are loved...
Dragons are a tradition...
Why should we decrease or banish their numbers?

Yes, i agree, although, the Dragon Golem is not as Dragon-like as others. Dragons are too abundant according to me. Some people don't think that way. But there are plenty of other GREAT creatures out there that could be put in place.

You've got a point about the dragon golem. But... it's creative and it just increases maybe our creativity and imagination. Like maybe it gives us the idea of maybe puting in behemoth golem, etc. Well, i mean, they're creating dragon golems maybe to give us something more to see and talk about. It might turn out to be kool like other dragons.

i think that even though the dragon golem isnt a traditional 'mythological' creature.. it is still something based on fantasy.. and isnt that what the game is really about???
besides... until we've actually played the game, i dont think we can say whether its a good creature or not..

i think there should be less dragons because....
in tolkien, for one, along w/plenty of other fantasy books... dragons were very rare... and few people ever caught glimpse of one. in H4, it would be hard for someone NOT to see one!
also, whoever had the dryad idea... thats gold! although many(including me) have wanted dryads in for a long time, the tree strength idea was very good
if it was 2 months ago, i wouldve sent 3do that idea

Somebody earlier in page 7 said that Drakes (Miniature Dragon) could be put in place. This would constitute a few changes:
Faster
Less HP
Less Damage
Poison possibility.
But even this would not be a major change.

From your information, they should replace phoenixes with drakes. (btw, I'm not sure but I think another definition for drake is male duck)
Actually, make them dragons with 2-hex attack except with more speed and maybe dodging ability(Maybe ignore damage xx% of the time).
Drakes were actually a common legend in many books and myth games. You know [url=http://www.wizards.com/magic]Magic: The Gathering[/url]? 3do actually copied(borrowed is a better word ) their idea of simultaneous damage and first strike. Why not also copy the idea of drakes?
As a matter of fact, drakes are descendants of dragons, and some of them didn't have legs and were basically reptile birds that looked like miniature dragons(I like that description).
To me, drakes should be included. (Should I post a poll about this?)
Anyways I don't think they'll care about the message boards, is there any point in sayin' they should be included?

Yes, good information there, Carz, and i agree with you on every point. If they were to replace somebody, it would be phoenixs. Although is they were ice drakes or cold drakes, they would be a suitable replacement for Dragon Golems, I think.
Nah, don't worry about making a poll about this one, its OK where it is now.

Dont Kill the Phoenix
Phoenixes should stay, period. I liked them in HMM2 so much because they were the fastest troop availiable. If you all remember the good old mirror image your phoenixes trick , hehe. That made them powerfull because they were fast, and if they would just give them a fire shield they would ROCK.
They should kill the dragon golem though (shivers). The model is so rediculous.

Yeah but replacing it with Drake doesn't mean it's gonna slow down anyway.

Is that really a good idea? i think Drakes are more h3 not heroes 4. But if you modify them more they could look very good. like large tail with spikes like the hydra said poison and of course mobility and high hex moves

You know some of the art is just shocking whilst some of it is great. They are not exactly evening it out. Dragon Golems are impressive in graphics but as many have said, it has just been shoved in to a castle type but it really doesn't belong anywhere. Leprechauns are just RIDICULOUS with no real value except for good luck. I reckon it is better off as a good luck charm for the army. I like monks and zealots in heroes 3 because you could not see thei faces, giving them a mysterious look about them. Peasants just look as if they have had one too many. And whats with the seam monsters? How do they travel, by flopping? A more impressive picture is of the Archangel. But the sword looks too long. Venom spawn aret lime jelly with figures placed on their face. At least they brought back the original Vampire.

I agree that the Archangel has a very good picture now, as opposed to its average one it H3. And it is a great plus to have vampires return to our ranks. They are traditional HoMM creatures.
Drakes: Yes, they are sort of like dragons, but smaller and more mobile. And yes, the were also very fast. If they had a possibility of poison or spell casting, it would be fit for a level 4 creature in my opinion.
