It says now that current version of VCMI doesen't require a spare copy of WoG nor HotA. I guess I need to get a clean copy of HoMM 3 Complete before I do anything else. And maybe get rid of all pre-installed mods for VCMI - just in case.

how to create two artifact with this specialty:+1 to spellpower. Gives an opportunity to control empty ships moving the to any direction you want.

the second with this specialty:+1 to defense. Player is able to block an empty ship for ally-players. And also to leave monsters on any square of the water landscape for ally-players to tale them.

No it's not. JSON only allows you to tweak parameters, not code a whole new script from scratch.

Hi Warmonger, one question, when will the VCMI version of HotA will be brought up to synch? As of the moment the mod version is still only on 1.3.1. Are there any joint efforts from both teams to update the VCMI version?

This is why: Nik's explanation. Nik is one of the developers of HotA and he explains why they are against the port to VCMI. Hence, the final version that is around for VCMI is the 1.3.1 version.

Ok, so HotA requested the VCMI port to be stopped? What were the circumstances? Moreover, would it be possible in the future to simply have homm3 + HotA placed on the data folder so HotA could run on VCMI?

Maurice's reply was probably about the VCMI and Hota's joint effort (or lack thereof).

There's no need for anything like that, because VCMI Hota mod already contains Hota's unpacked resources.

Current slowdown of updates is caused by VCMI's insufficient features. VCMI engine strives to emulate Heroes 3 experience and e.g. Stormbirds' and Ayssids' abilities are something unseen in the original game. Their implementation is probably low on the list of priorities (afaik, right now AI programming and testing is the team's main focus).

So now it's working out for me but the perfomamnce is still quite bad. For example it doesen't crash anymore when I access the fort or at random but the movement animation of the Heroes and units along with building up animations are still rather sloppy. I got a W10 laptop is that helps.

Hello, guys!

I have a question about WoG mod for VCMI. I hope i came to the right place. IMO, VCMI should have its own forum section.

Why is not there any file for WoG mod in 'mods' folder like most of VCMI mods have? I am pretty sure i have it installed and checked in the Launcher, but there are no files associated with the mod. Is it incorporated in the core code?

I am interested in the commanders mechanic. I want to access it, modify it and even develop it further.

WoG specific mechanics are incorporated in VCMI code. WoG is the only mod with stuff in code dedicated just for it.

Hello!(I hope that's the correct place to post this.)

I have a few problems with VCMI.
Hero movement map animations are quite laggy and very often bug out.
An example of a .def anim bug here:
I have the lastest daily build, from the 12th of march (a.k.a. VCMI-branch-develop-8b6316c.exe) and the Polish release of Homm3, also known as 'Złota Edycja'.
So, I'm not quite sure if it's my fault or the VCMI's, because I've also experienced these world map lags on 0.99 stable ver.

What do you mean by "solve it"? There's nothing to solve, unless you want to manually correct every selected #FFFFFF pixel. Also, your first link doesn't work.
