@Macron1 Yeah, you can find the progression of the Town screen here on the "WIP" section (you'll need to click on "Town Screen" so the pictures show up.

I meant materials allowing to make 1st townscreen (background, dwellings layer).  Don't remove first version files.

Don't worry, every PNGs are stocked on a "ressources" folder and there are 3 PSDs of different version of the composition. I mainly used TURBOSQUID.COM and GOOGLE PICS at first but then I've found better stocks on DEVIANTART 2 days ago.

Keep at it, i love modding with vcmi, a lot of times i just brainstorm with photoshop and make fun little town ideas. I have so many near finished towns of random bored nights on my drive that i should upload. Right now i'm messing with this idea.

Does VCMI still not support special buildings for new towns?

AKA they just use generic buildings, and can't add things like treasury, escape tunnel, etc.

Everythng depends on programming manpower - it is doable but somebody has to spend time on it. Atm the VCMI team manpower is low.

About HD mod features - some basic features like ctrl+click splitting, higher  resolutions or quick recruitment window is there - again: need somebody who will work on it. Anyway it is far easier to code features in VCMI than doing them in reverse engineering for base H3.

I guess my question is if there is enough people working on it that there is any hope of it happening.

Also I wonder what kind of financial incentive would help accelerate the process.

Is there any way to fix the "cannot generate random map" issue VCMI seems to have?
The funny part is, I have it on two computers (a newer one running Windows 10 and an older one with Windows 7) and the problem only appears on the smaller laptop - but (and here comes the "funny" part)- the other one only works for about half an hour before crashing. IDK what am I doing wrong? Is it because my HOMM complete version isn't store-bought but pirated?

Yep, install RMG templates if you don't have them by any chance. Should be included in current VCMI version.

Sorry, I did not see the question before. Currently in last few months the manpower dropped and is low due to nobody having time so without new contributors (that I would gladly introduce and assist) it's fairly unlikely that it will happen.

I also do not see how any sort of financial help would help, other than  hiring somebody to work on VCMI as sort of job or maybe starting financial bounty for feature on website such as https://freedomsponsors.org/ - I have no idea how exactly this works though.
