Ok, I just noticed this and it does not make sense to me. I don't know if somebody else noticed this, but I'm bringing it up nontheless. It's a story issue and I know a lot of yous mugs don't care about it, but I do. I got this from the site.
Ok here is the thing. Grandpa Griffin, Pavel died in a battle with the Demons, right? By this he ensures the rescue of his son, Pa Griffin Slava. Slava is a boy at this time. Bear with me here.
Ok. Now great-aunt Sveltana becomes guardian of Slava.
Now fifteen years have passed and Slava is duke and he has 5 kids, Anton, Kiril, Sandor, Anastasia and X. Now these kiddywinks look to be adults or at least in their late teens.
Answer me this then. How can a Boy sire 5 adult childern in a 15 year timespan?
No matter how old Slava was at the time Pavel kicked the bucket, it seems an impossibly short period of time.

Maybe they meant to write fifty? Current Slava doesn't exactly seem to be in his mid twenties either.
And it's actually 4 children since the 5th is illegitimate

I was wondering about that myself. Some of the blurbs are ancient and need to be retooled, and I'm pretty sure the main heroes (Anton etc) are adolescents, so it can't be right.

Fifty makes more sense, but it doesn't say that.
Also that one of the kids is illegitimate does not throw away the fact that it still is his son.
Seeing how you two are insiders you may want to bring this up if you not already have done.

Gotta love those in-game models!
The creatures look fantastic and the Heroes too. But uh, are these models for Sandor, Anton and Anastasya or are they just the generic Barbarian, Knight and Necromancer. Because of the covering of their faces and all. I wouldn't expect them ofcourse to have unique appearance for all of the Heroes but at least for the campaign ones.
Anyway, just a little thing I noticed... On the creatures section, the faction are called Haven, Inferno and... Necromantian? What's up with that? Is it official?

Every single hero is going to be at least slightly unique even at level 1, from what we were recently told. Nothing more explicit I can say at this time, sorry.

Wasn't me.
I wonder what makes them decide to take one head off cerberus and give it to the hell hound? Not that I mind, it just seems strange...
Come to think of it, none of the basic units look essentially too different from their upgraded counterparts. One could probably think that the factor that drove them to create two-headed cerberi and hell hounds, is unwillingness to create a different model from basic to upgraded and just add more details onto it. Therefore instead of having a three-headed hell hound or an one-headed cerberus, they decided to give both heads to both basic and upgraded unit?

I noticed that in the comic stript the orc hero is riding a horse. I'm not sure if it was something confirmed or not, but this coming from them seems to hint in that direction.
BTW: I prefer heros having horses or a common mount than seeing a knight on a horse against heroes riding mamooths and epic tyranosaurus
It also would be a unique feature from the heroes as non creature rides a horse (Sun Crusaders mount on epic awesome solar energy mounts).

Actually the mammoths were one of the reasons I would like to see dwarwes in the game in the future expantions... Every race has it's own unique fauna and flora which gives to it's background character
(snow mounts? polar bears/mammoths)
Only becouse orcs have horses, doesn't mean that all the races won't follow their own theme-based directions in looks... (orcs from H5 lived on steps, where horses are present - not to mention WEIRD horse/slash/human hybrid some call centaurs )
What I'm saying is that I would like to see these clear and tasteful distinguishments (how cool was an elephant in Academy as a hero mount -NOT the hero itself) between race/class combinations
another option: maybe this hero is HUMAN so they gave him a horse with orkish decorations on it

Seems orkish to me
I prefer the fauna to be actual creatures: Why make the mamooth a mount when they can be a unit and reemplace the giant dwarf thane concept?
Of course I wouldn't mind seeing a Naga on foot (tail) as the body doesn't fit mounting a horse. But this time even demons seem to be smaller in order to ride something (probably a nightmare wich is demonic version of horze )

I wonder something, will there be Demon heroes? in the PDF it said the heroes would be Hell Knights, humans in service of the Demon lords.
If so will there be different models for them?
I mean there wont be as many different races in all the factions in the way it was in Heroes 3, but I hope races will also have different models like the male/female (hopefully) will.

I prefer the different mounts, as well. It is a bit boring to see all the heroes riding horses (it's like if all the races had dragons as their tier 7 creature). The campaign heroes, being all humans, are OK to ride horses. But the "natives" should get different mounts.
Well, not all the heroes mounts in H5 were well chosen (e.g. unicorn), but orcs should definitely get some wolves/boars/oxen. And nagas could simply wrap their tails around the trunk of a mount... what about a naga riding a death-stare bull-like-gorgon?

I think, the inferno heroes should have a Nightmare like (Heroes IV Inferno unit) horse, with flames on his neck and nightblack body. The Haven should got a Sunny horse, a shiny one, the barbarian can get a strong brown greater horse than the others, the nekropolis should ride on a dead horse or a black and deadly green (like Mordor hometowns in LOTR movies) deadly like horse. The fifth faction is a ? to me.
Or different mounts would go well.

Why horses? It would be über cool if the Inferno heroes had a chariot that is being pulled by 2 or 4 hell hounds
The Necromancers should be carried around on a platform by a pack of skeletons.
We need diversity!

Indeed, if all the heroes end up on horses (which I find very possible) it'll be a step backwards. The heroes from Heroes V might have looked funny sometimes (thinks about Nur..) but the diversity was really great. The Demol Lord was especially amazing, and seeing the current Hell Knight made me kind of dissappointed.

Shima!
If u look at the map of the world u can tell there's an island called "Shima". i looked up shima and i found that it is "romanji" for island, and also means stripes(?)
i then looked up romanji and found that romanji is the Japanese term for the Latin alphabet
so... in conclusion i believe that there will be a roman and japanese influenced faction with a 99% chance of nagas
any thoughts on my post?

Quote: So we're supposed to be happy with a site which has barely a third of the creatures we actually know about, no screenshots newer than about 3 months, and missing a whole bunch of other things?
Yes you should be. Whether the few issues with the site are because they were in a hurry to put it up so that we could see it as soon as possible or due to simple sloppyness (lol yeah right) doesn't really matter, what matters is that they gave it to us. Is it perfect? No. Is it a lot of interesting and new information? You bet your superman vs hulk underpants it is! So don't be so ungrateful simply because they haven't told you EVERYTHING at once yet. It's one thing to give Ubi a justified reminder (I'm sure Elvin and Cepheus are being both as direct and charming as they can be) and another to moan simply because one isn't pleased with what one gets. Being grateful has never hurt so far.
