Dorn lowered his weapon and put it on his back.
"Te be accurate, ye didn't find a thing. We found them orbs. Ye just came later on. Still, it matters not why we came here, but what we be doing here now. And we be after two things: clearing this place o' monsters and gettin' the treasure. That being said," Dorn smiled widely at Celestine "a Mishkal cleric is a great addition to any party. Ye be welcome to join us. Fer a share of the spoils o' course."

“And I’m not really interested with treasure,” she added chuckling at the thought.
Then her face turned serious as she turned her gaze to the body of the dead monk and said, “This evil must be purged. I will not allow them to harm innocent people again.”

Uncovering the runes are no problem. You can't read it all (it's ancient dwarven magical runes) but you make out the name Castle Dumare.

Austin takes out a sheet of paper, and pen, and starts writing down the runes so he won't have to remember them at a later point in time. Once they are all written down, he heads over to Dorn. Getting his attention, he directs Dorn's attention to the rune. Dorn may not know what they say, but there is a chance.

Dorn looks at his silent companion first and then follows his gaze to the sheer of paper in his hands.
"What? What's that?" Dorn said looking at the paper. "These be Dwarven runes... ancient runes... Something about four castles and... Elves? What is going on 'ere?! Hey, lads with powerful ancestors! Come 'ere see if ye know anything about this. 'Ere I'll read what I can:
Blank Castle Blank Blank first of four is the Blank. Where Castle Blank is made Blank, Sparrowflight being made Blank, and Castle Blank being made Blank. This castle, unlike the three that follow will not be Blank. Made for the elves, speak Blank Blank, and it shall obey. Only the first to speak Blank Blank, until that being passes shall be able to give it commands. Blank it will take all orders on face value, following the wording, not the intent.
Means anything to anyone?"

None of them seem to know anything about it. Jet does say "I've heard Amy speak of Sparrowflight before..she might know more about this. We will have to wait until we get out of here for more information though. No doubt with her experience Amy should be able to read all the runes also."

Jeddite walked over to Rose, crouching next to the cleric and offering an open hand and shoulder to lean on. "Are you feeling well enough to continue, priestess?" He inquired, not wanting to delay for too much longer. "If so, then I believe we should hide these bodies somewhere... that hole in the floor, perhaps. If someone comes up behind us, we do not want them to be ready for a fight or alerting others, after all." All this talk about almost gods and ancient runes was interesting and all, but practicality needed to take the head if any of them would survive to reach them.

"I must tend to Uncle G as best I can for the moment." Says Rose. She goes up and using mundane methods binds his wounds. "If we can not get him healed, he will not be able to assist us if we should need to fight again. I am all out of healing for the day."
Once he is up 'G' says. "Don't worry about me. I will survive." He carefully opens one of the doors you pass, peeks in. "This room is empty, here should be a good place to hide these ones." He helps stow them. "Our friend is right though, we should move..NOW."
Jet nods. "Which way? To the room the poppers suggested?"

"Aye, this be as good a place to go as any, if not better." Dorn answered while stroking his beard. His mind was clearly still occupied with the runes. "Stay sharp, lads and lasses. I doubt we've seen the last of 'em."

((Since I've heard no arguments against going to the room suggested by the poppers...you all are locked in to going there.))
You arrive at the location indicated by the poppers without running in to any more interruptions. The main chamber is rather large, with many runes, some nonsense, some dwarven, and one elvish. Those who can read elvish recognize it as the elven word for "Floor".
The dwarven runes explain that this place is NOT a mithril mine (though the dwarves obviously thought so at first) but actually an ancient castle MADE of Mithril. ((The entire castle, from top to bottom. This Castle would be worth more then the combined treasury of the other nations combined and multiplied by a couple of thousand)). The problem is, none of their tools can really make it into anything sellable. Lucky for the dwarves, it had a store of mithril for repairs..so they are slowly selling it off, so as not to flood the market.
There is a side door, which is open and you can hear a booming voice coming from the other side of the door. "Sire, we have been looking for the code word to gain control of this castle for a long time. I believe the code lost."
The voice you heard from the staff earlier answers. "You WILL find that command word. If we have access to the power this Castle possesses I will be unstoppable. Find me the name of this castle, so I can gain control of it! Is my body about finished?"
"All we lack is the dust of a destroyed Demi Lich master. Our agents will have that soon. Then you will have the most powerful physical form ever."
"Excellent. Nothing must happen to that body, it is the ONLY vessel I can use. Double the guards in this room. Pull everybody from the search. That body is more valuable to me right now then the Castle. Once I have my body, we will have all the time we need to find the Castle's name."

Celestine’s eyes widened at the spectacle of the castle. Her jaw dropped in awe of this rare sight in front of her. It was her first time to see such place. She slowly walked with as she observed the decorative runes around the main chamber but never understood any of them.
She stopped abruptly when she heard voices and listened to it carefully. After the conversation, her face turned serious then she turned to Arian and whispered, “Did you hear that? That must be their leader...”

Jeddite, who was still standing protectively close to Rose, leaned over to the cleric and whispered, "What should we do now?" Apparently, the enemy leader or at least a powerful being was in the next room... some guidance would be welcome here.

Arian gazed at Celestine's beautiful eyes. There was something about her that made the young thief rethink his actions and the way he acts. "Is this what happens when you're around a cleric? You turn good? For my whole life I've been selfish and decieving, but now.. now I find it bad. Anyways, I've gotta take a peak at that creepy dude, or whatever he is."
"I'll be back in a minute", Arian said and disappeared into the shadows.

Rose seems to ponder. "Why are they worried about finding the name. Isn't the name of the Castle, Dumare?" She seems confused..at her utterance, however, the runes in the room light up..and a male voice speaks. "She who has spoken my name, I am afraid that until my former master has perished, that I can not be of service to you."
"Ah I guess I was right.. as for what is going on in there. With one of us too injured to fight..and me out of healing. Can we take them?"
When whoever looks in, the obvious answer is .. no. No your group can not. There has to be at least twenty five in there. If some are monks and some are necromantic casters..your group might be a little bit out of their league. That is not the bothersome part, however. In the left back wall (with no doors near it) there is .. something. It looks like various undead cobbled together into a body of some sort. It is humanoid, the teeth look vampire, it has wings of a Dracolich, its flesh is that of various zombies, it's wrapped in mummy gauze in some parts, with the fire red eyes of a Death Knight. It must be the body spoken of. Unfortunately, the way the room is set up..you have to make it past the whole of the people in robes to reach it.

Dorn who was thoughtfully stroking his beard ever since the got to the room, was startled by the glowing runes and the voice.
"So me guess was right. Speaking the name of the castle gives control over some manner of creature." He looked around at his fellow adventurers. "We don't look to well to be fighting now. We be injured and low on powers. I sat we retreat and regroup. Maybe look fer reinforcement."
The dwarf Paladin took one last look at the room.
"One more thing... There be all manner of runes in 'ere. I can read most, but that one" he pointed at the Elvish rune "looks different. Possibly Elvish. The runes back there mentioned Elves as well. I don't know why would a dwarf use Elvish runes, but they must be important. Can anyone 'ere read it?"

((Would put this in the OoC but need somebody to post a buffer post. Can't make 4 replies in a row..even as a Mod. Anyhow, being High Elf Gnomes, you can read the elvish text, and a little of the 'unknown' text. Basically it boils down to if somebody can get control of the castle, it is 'living' and can do many things. Including alter itself in any way to fit the owners desires. Just be careful how you phrase things. The really weird thing is, that the elvish word for floor has NO connection to anything else in the room, at all.))
