Austin is grateful that he wasn't struck by the bolt of green energy that was fired his way. He is a little frustrated by the number of Karag around him, preventing him from having total focus on the mage. He is also cautious about the pit that he is so near, watching his footing to make sure he doesn't step over, or get pushed over, the edge. The call for assistance is not one he can respond to at the moment.

But Dorn heard the call well. And he answered the only way he knew how - loudly.
"Anyone who can't bash ugly Karag heads, get behind me and the big guy! We'll try to create a shield!" Hopefully, the enemy is nor smart enough to try and flank that shield, he added to himself and turned to the mage and the archer, "You two, help the one that's gone ahead! We need to take the bloody wizard down!"

Jeddite nodded, holding his staff loosely as he walked with graceful and measured steps, searching about him for traps or ambushes. "Of course I can. Though these things that are already dead do pose some slight difficulty, as the pressure points I was taught for years seem to be worthless... Worry not. I can still hold my own."

The fight
"G" Gets to his feet slowly, and takes up his one handed sword and shield. About half of the undead are down (there were not near as many left as outside, and most are the slow 'worker' types). While Dorn is working with G to protect the others, Austin is now alone with the necromancer. He taps his staff, and his hand forms a black glow. He tries to touch Austin, and something tells Austin this would be a bad thing. He misses, thanks to Austin's agility, and extends his hand with his hand down, fingers in a gripping motion and lifts his hand up. About half of the downed zombies rise again.
"J" Says "We have to stop that figure..or we will keep fighting the same ones we already defeated." She casts Chromatic Sphere and knocked a couple down." I can't get a good bead on him.
The bowmaiden nods, taking two of the zombies down with her arrows. "Me either"

Dorn was getting slightly winded. A big maul was not a weapon you could swing about endlessly. He hit the closest creature on the knee in a stabbing motion, bringing it down to his own level and then brought down his maul on the Karag's head like an executioner's axe. Then he noticed the felled Karag rise again.
"By Shinare, these things are undead! Right, lads, I'll give us an opening. As soon as I do, rush the bloody necromancer!"
Dorn Tumblestone raised his maul up and grasped the symbol of his Deity with his left hand.
"BY THE POWER OF SHINARE, I COMMAND YE WRETCHED CREATURES TO RETURN TO WHERE YE CAME FROM! TURN UNDEAD!"
Holy light emitted from Dorn, it formed the image of a white blindfolded lady, holding a pair of scales. Most of the undead stopped in their tracks, confused and aimless. Dorn hefted his maul.
"Lads... CHARGE!"

Austin was moving about his small area of Karag, dodging here, striking there. It was becoming a fair bit tiring, now having to fight the ones he has already fought again. With the aid of his staff being pushed upon the ground, he is barely able to avoid being bitten. He strikes at the one, and sends it flipping back. With a glance to the necromancer, he sees an opening. Austin turns while hitting another Karag to the ground, and sends the staff toward the necromancer's neck. The aim is a little low, however, and it goes more toward the chest.

Jet had used the chaos to hide in shadows, and make it around to the back of the necromancer. The staff hits the necromancer dead on, followed shortly by two arrows and a flamebolt. The necromancer stumbles and just as Jet goes in for the kill..something very odd happens. A voice comes from the staff he is holding "You have failed me." The staff seems to devour most of the light around the necromancer, causing complete blackness. When the sphere of blackness vanishes, all that is left is a pile of ash and a robe. The staff is nowhere to be seen.
The undead just ... drop, as if they were puppets and somebody cut their string. Their flesh starts to return to normal.
In the room, behind the necromancer you find two doors (definitely of dwarven design). There is a small pile of those odd mushrooms, and things like weapons, armor, etc (from the victims). A few coins, gems, and trinkets (again from the victims). Most of the bodies have no weapons or armor on them.
The left door behind the necromancer is locked, the right is not.
((This group is now 15 minutes ahead of the other group, as the fight did not take long))

Austin, after realizing that one of the doors is locked, looks through the ash, trinkets and whatnot for a key that may be able to open said door.

No key is found. Of course since they stole this place from the Dwarves (apparently), they might not have had a key.

When the necromancer vanished, Dorn remained vigilant for another ten seconds or so. Finally, certain enough that the undead are not coming back up, he lowered his maul.
"I guess that is it. Well done, lads. They won't trouble us again..." he prodded the nearest Karag with his leg, "I hope."
Then he moved to the doors. First he inspected the locked one trying to understand if there's a way to open it or if simply needs a key.

Ok the door is not going to be able to be forced open. It is better then just about any door, even the dwarven ones that Dorn has seen, around. Jet takes a look at the locking mechanism and decides to 'take ten' to try to get the door unlocked. At the end of the 10th minute..you hear a 'clicking sound' and the doors are unlocked.
((For those who DO go into the door))
It is a 30x30 room with no other exits. Three floating orbs with four stalks on their head are floating around a pile of .. odd looking silver. These orbs have no eyes or mouths that anybody can tell.

While it too has the weird moss, it is definitely made of stone, not a natural cave passage. It goes on for at least 30' then turns sharply left.

Dorn peers into the passage as he hears a clicking sound from the door Jet is working on. Not seeing anything interesting in the open passage, Dorn closes the door and walks over to Jet. He looks inside and sees the floating orbs.
"What in the name of Shinare are those things?! Oi, come 'ere, lads. Does anyone know what that is?"

Dorn has a hunch that the silver might be mithral. He is not a specialist, but it doesn't look much like regular silver, nor the truesilver that was outside..this might be the actual legitimate real deal..it is in raw form though.
Jet, 'G', 'J', and the archer have no clue what the orbs are. "They are not Beholders, not enough stalks, no central eye, no large mouth..never seen anything like that." The orbs do not make any moves toward the group. They remain surrounding the silver.

“Finally!” the blonde haired girl exclaimed cheerfully as she viewed and admire the scenery before her, “I’d arrive in Andor’s End safely. Praise Mishakal.”
Celestine, a zealous cleric of Mishakal, has been praying to her goddess all the way for safe journey till she reached her destination. She was very happy, that now she will be able to fulfill the important task given to her by her high cleric – to report to Amy Whiteland, another cleric of Mishakal situated in Andor’s End.
It took her longer than she should have since she tried to help people whom she feels in need of her aid. The cleric was almost out of food and money and was really tired from her long journey, but the sight of Andor’s End gave her hope and revitalized her soul.
She rushed towards the city, in high spirits, her long and straight blonde hair waved with the wind; green eyes sparkling with delight; heavy chainmail clanging as she strode down from the hill when she heard a suspicious sound.
She stopped to silence herself and tried to hear where the sound came from. But before Celestine find out what it was, she felt a heavy object hit the back of her head and then things went black fast.

He nods. "Probably not the best time for a message, but guess we might not get a good time for some time to come."
Meanwhile
The other group is JUST entering the circular room that at one time had the necromancer. Many bodies lay on the floor, but they do not look like the white skinned WHATEVER that attacked earlier. They are normal color. All the way accross the room, you see a few people standing in a door. You can not tell from this distance who or what they are.

Arian made it to the room in the cavern. Bodies could be seen everywhere, but they weren't as pale as the ones outside. The thief poked a Karag just to make sure that he is dead. "Better safe than sorry...", he thought.
"Hey there! Are you alright? What's with all of these bodies?"
