If anything, we're not big fans of Ashan, but just try to come to us and say something bad about Heroes II, for example. I dare you .

A lot of Russians voting, and Fury describes them well... they are angry, very very angry.
lol
It's true that Russia and Poland are probably the two biggest M&M fanbase countries, but it's weird the majority of them agrees
Don't know, went to might-and-magic.ru forums and read their "create your faction thread", most of them have Phoenixes and Unicorns in it.

The Compendium gives a general idea, but all creatures are reworked to fit the needs and specifics of each project.
And sorry but the upgraded Phoenix will definitely be a "Moonix". Probably more silvery than blue compared to the H6 one, but the lore is pretty specific on that topic
oh.. that makes me sad. i had really high expectations from phoenix-slyvan connection.

I'm afraid it doesn't work that way .
But I'd like to present a fun fact: our Sylvan lineup poll has almost identical results to the one at Heroes Community - both in percentage and numbers (currently HC has 3 more votes for Strength, the rest is identical).

Ithink the majority, at least on Acid Cave, was for Strength, then Balance and after that fury. Personally, I startto become more and more.convinced to vote for Balance instead of Fury (dryad-treant cooperation with optional treants seems a little bit faulty).

Stevie said: I think I have made myself, as well as others besides me, perfectly clear in this regard, Elvis. If not, I will state it again in a more visible fashion:
ELVEN PHOENIX IS NOT CONSISTENT WITH ASHAN LORE!
Heroes 5 - fiery phoenix as a summoning magic and neutral unit;
Heroes 6 - phoenix as neutral;
Duel of Champions - phoenix as neutral again.
MMX Legacy - phoenix as a Summoning spell from Shantiri discs; The part about Shantiri is extremely important because it's continuity is basically Academy. And that leads us to..
Clash of Heroes - where phoenix is part of Academy!
So there, in all those iterations of Phoenixes in ASHAN lore, show me ONE SINGLE ARGUMENT that the Phoenix is part of Elven culture.
H5 is hardly a good example because that phoenix has apparently been retconned and being a neutral does not suggest anything. The Shantiri civilization was actually composed of all elder races so no direct academy link. And clash of heroes.. Let's not even go there. Ubi just worked with what they had without giving it much thought if you ask me. They even put bears in sylvan. All we know about the phoenix is its ties to the moon, balance, nature and rebirth, all of which are elven themes even if not exclusively. I call the opposite, that there is not a strong argument about the phoenix not being in sylvan. The only actual academy link is that it's a magical bird tied to Asha. But Asha is worshipped by all the elder races and magic abounds in them all.

Sub-optimal solution.
Make 'em mount root snakes. They don't look like strippers in armour enough. That way we'll know exactly how they are meant to be. Riding Big Hard Serpents with peacock feathers in their hair....
I was very tempted to give this post a qp
---
So.. we have a root that thinks it's a snake. Okay.
Emerald knights have a beautiful elven armour and shield plus it's good to see an elven unit with a spear for once. It's just that this unit is.. highly ditchable. It makes sense from a gameplay perspective but I'd have much prefered a unicorn in its place. So many cool options that could have taken its place.
A half-shiny stag, moving on..
One thing that has long been bothering me. Sylanna's avatar body looks like.. a seahorse. Just picture it without its legs.
Give us something dinosaur-looking, make it huge, add some trees and emeralds on its back and then we're talking

As a Strength Voter, I'll only consider changing it to Balance on the last day, if it were needed to stave off Fury. I never cared about the Phoenix one way or another. It just buggs me to no end that only one line-up featured Unicorns.
It does begg the question where all these Fury voters are coming from? Are they fans who don't subscribe to the fan-fora? Is it realy due to cheating?(I never put much faith in that rumour, even though I still think it should be investigated.)

On one hand it sound great but on the other it resembles Fire Dragons which were quite similar to your description and they weren't loved at all. This concept is quite good, it just has to be more... natural, by which I mean more plants.

Yes, too dry.
I knew plenty of people who liked the magmazilla. I think the primary problem was the overabundance of dragons in H5. 7 dwarves + 1 dragon was a recipe for fanrage.

I'm pretty positive the Dwarven theme will definitely be used somewhere in the game, even if the Fortress faction itself isn't there.
Only that strictly speaking there's not really a 'dwarf' theme or is it?

As I said before there's a music track that Rob & Paul composed for the Dwarves, named Tinkering with the Dwarves, and it will definitely be used somewhere in the game, just not as the Fortress theme since Fortress wasn't voted.

And if by any chance Fortress made its way into the game through an expansion, they would make a new track then? Would that be the most likely outcome?

But I'd like to present a fun fact: our Sylvan lineup poll has almost identical results to the one at Heroes Community - both in percentage and numbers (currently HC has 3 more votes for Strength, the rest is identical).
This leads me to believe there has been a good deal of cheating going on. The Sylvian vs Fortress poll on HC got almost the same percentages as the official one. And now we have polls from two different communities showing the same distribution for the line-up, while the official poll currently has the exact opposite results

I don't know it it proves or denies anything, but just for the record I'll add that Acid Cave's Sylvan vs Fortress poll got a 60%/40% result (52 votes vs 35).
It's again close to the HC one, but it is 6% off the official results. And right now in the Sylvan Lineup vote a 6% difference would be a game changer.
But as for a personal opinion - I do find it a bit weird that at first Sylanna's Fury was at the very bottom and fans said, that it won't win this vote (just look at the first comments there) and then in a matter of 24 hours (between 14 Sept and 15 Sept) it got so many votes that from the last place (28%) it jumped to first (37%).
I guess it's possible and I wouldn't go that far as to accuse anybody, but it is, well, weird.

with the new artworks it seems that devs are trying to forse Fury as a first option to choose
as there are no artworks of Unicorns or Phoenixes
and sudden jump of Fury from last place to first one
leaves me very suspicious
if voting doesnt matter then what is all that haox about?

The difference between the HC poll and the official one is that the HC one does not allow you to chamber your vote. For example, I voted for Strength on the HC once, but changed my vote to Fury on the official one and I think more people have changed their votes. Compare this the the Sylvan vs Fortress poll, I think hardly anyone changed their votes there.
