Mm, if I might suggest, make it double production of a particular building for the next 1/2/3 days, rather than just a one-day bonus.

Also, a few more suggestions for map objects
* Water versions of:
- Obelisk
- Witch Hut
- Learning Stone
- Lighthouse
- Star Axis, Garden of Revelation, Marletto Tower, Mercenary Camp
- School of War
- Library of Enlightenment
- Den of Thieves
- Black Market
* Grandmaster's House (a skill can be learned similar to the University for 1000 Gold for Basic level, 3000 Gold for Advanced level or 10000 Gold for Expert level)
* Traveller's Inn (Learn up to three skills/spells, for 1000 gold per skill or 200/400/600/800/1000 gold per spell. Offered skills/spells change each week)

One thing I've tried to do with most of my suggestions is to try to keep within the bounds of what the HOTA teams has already done. So mostly artefacts, map locations, etc. plus occasional changes to secondary skills and spells.

New Spells are among the hardest things to add, so chances for that to happen are smallest.
Secondary skill changes are relatively easy to make, a skilled programmer can do that on a Sunday afternoon. So the fact that they it did not happen until now, can only mean they DONT WANT to change anything. They will probably tell you that they have other priorities and that might be true, but that would not hold them off to do it anyway, because it is done in a couple of hours.
So the situation is the same as it has been over the last years. We know absolutely nothing about when and how a new update will arrive and what it will change. All we can do is hope that the things we expect them to change (or the thing we imagine the game to be like) will arrive in the next patch.
And then when it is the time and the patch arrives, you again will be let down, because your game is still not where you want it to be. Now the cycle repeats: You suggest, you hope, you pray.
That is how the HotA train slowly creeps forward. The result is that in the end we undoubtedly have a better heroes 3 game, but will it be the game that you want? With your ideas?

To be honest, my only wish are just small details, bugs, errors, balance issues (which will most probably be fixed, since they said that's what they'll do after Factory release) etc., so I won't be disappointed at all. And that's also why my suggestions were very simple.

And well, the game with our ideas would have been totally another game than this one.

That's why it makes sense to mod yourself, take the best from HotA and the best from what you can do.
Too bad you are pretty much forced to use some of the HotA changes, like secondary skills for example, I would much rather use my own versions of these skills.

Hm, okay, I wasn't aware that adding spells was so difficult, though I did imagine in required more graphics than, say, adding new skills or adventure map objects.

Hardcode I'd assume, since I don't see that they'd take appreciably more work by the artists than a creature.

Something like hardcoded I would assume, but then again, to my knowledge adding new secondary skills should have also been hardcoded. The animation isn't the hard part, and it's been done in the Hota already: the Implosion spell has very different animation than the original.

It's the hard-code; graphics are usually considered to be a pretty easy part, unless they're really something extravagant.

We know neutral creatures / monsters
It's possible to add Neutral Heroes without town alignment, something like mercenary, fight for their own business
Neutral Heroes starting with neutral creatures / monsters, and can only be recruited from adventure Tavern outside town or new dwelling
with unique specialties / bonuses that can't be found in another type of Heroes with alignment town
example give bonus any level 2 creatures att & def, no terrain penalty, recruit neutral creatures / monsters with less gold, etc
maybe hardcode, but its will be cool

New artifacts idea:

To some extend, I've always felt it's somewhat a bummer that the "primary artifact slots", head, torso off- and main hand are very limited towards giving their main primary stat: main hand gives attack, torso item gives power, etc. There are few exceptions to this rule, but overall I feel there should be a place for a whole set of these:

All following items are considered to be minor artifacts:

Spiked Armor of Orc = +4 attack, worn in torso

Crusader Helmet = +4 defence, worn in helmet slot

Elder Druid's Staff = +4 knowledge, worn in "sword slot"

Magic Orb of the Sorceress = +4 power, worn in "shield slot"

This would allow a bit more interesting builds, magic heroes could for example ignore the might stats, and boost their power and knowledge even more with these items.

Really nice summary! Here I have new proposal whose starting point was inspired by these two suggestions from the list: Library (a random map object where your heroes can buy spell book and scrolls) and Scriptorium (a new map object, where you can come with your spell scrolls and then you get an option to jot down the spell permanently to your spell book).

Proposal: Three new map objects, where your heroes can buy and sell scrolls:

Cathedral (can be used only by heroes of good alignment; scrolls available: Bless, Cure, Mirth and Prayer).

Aditional features: Each might work as a semi-Sanctuary: hero positioned within the new objects is not safe from battle, but will gain some advantage if attacked:

Cathedral: Defending hero will receive blessing from the Cathedral priests (Expert Bless and Mirth will be cast on defending hero’s troops in the beginning of the battle).

Temple of Dawn: The dreadful atmosphere of Temple of Dawn makes the attacker’s troops uneasy (Expert Curse and Misfortune will be cast on attacker hero’s troops in the beginning of the battle).

Ivory Tower: The recluse magician living in the Ivory Tower uses few of his tricks to the defender’s units - free of charge - because he fears about his own life (Expert Stone Skin and Air Shield will be cast on defender hero’s troops in the beginning of the battle).

New artefact:
Crown of the Hell King (Combination)
Components: Sword of Hellfire, Shield of the Damned, Breastplate of Brimstone, Hellstorm Helmet.
Effects: Hero is granted Expert Fire Magic and access to all spells in the fire school. In addition, all friendly troops have expert Bloodlust, Protection From Fire and Fire Shield cast on them at the beginning of combat.

I also wonder if artefacts can be made to take up more than one slot, so f.e. an artefact that takes both hand slots.

Some UI suggestions...

First off, when selecting a new game, the "available scenarios" page should default to being open; it's kind of a pain to have to open it up every time. Ideally, the "advanced options" button would be combined with the "available scenarios" button and it would be a toggle between the two pages rather than bringing up the background.

Second, as far as I can tell, some of the new buttons on the main interface are unused. Any reason that the thieves guild, market, and "replay my turn" buttons (currently hidden behind F5 for some reason) can't go there?

Third... well, the suggestion I've been making for awhile now is to have the village hall button in the city interface link to the build screen. That's still a very nice shortcut I'd like to see happen.
