It does. It's the same curse as Cloak of Balance (I like the name, since it's the way to avoid fighting the 9999 azures with less and less troops), what you gain in power you lose in speed. In WoG I use the Altar of Transformation to turn them to genies that after upgraded are my base unit. Oh boy! How I miss them now...

Now that Mysticism is improved and pretty decent, could'nt the mana recovery items use a buff as well, say double or triple their initial mana recovery.
Maybe do the same thing with duration artifacts, but those are almost useless anyway.

In my Red Tent I once beat 21 thousand gold golems with a basic hero, less then one hundred sharpshooters, a few master genies, ammo cart, Armour of the Damned and the Ring of the Magi.

Some thinks improved Mysticism is useless. S/he's right. Think about real feeling. In chess, grandmaster is looking excellent move from chess engine by boring game, when the best answer can help to opponent. If I play the best skill with. I snow Mysticism. I don't recommend you use a Mysticism.

And pro player bloodlust has played just fine.

Mysticism is decent in HotA, there are many things that ruin it though.

@Ghost It's just basic baiting, for hours. But if you take the battle with lesser hero instead of main, you save his movement and get a second reliable hero.

How does this have anything to do what he just said?

I personally also think those artifacts should be looked. Let's be honest, mana regeneration wasn't really well desingned from the beginning, as gaining mana has been valued inconsistantly in this game. Classic mysticism was a joke, and that was basically the one the weakest hero specialities in the game aswell. On the other side of the playing field we have unguarded magic wells and towns with simple magic guilds in them that are capable of restoring all mana.

Now that Mysticism is actually decent, the mana artifacts look quite odd, as regaining something like 1 extra mana is not a thing in any point of the game. I suggested earlier that mana arties should give 3/4/5 instead of the classic 1/2/3.  
The duration artifacts are also quite bad, but they are only slight off imo. I think they should have been 2/3/4 instead of 1/2/3, as adding only 1 extra round from an artifact source is really bad - it's half spell power  - 2 extra rounds is a clear improvement thou. But as I said, they're only slight off and not that bad, so there's not a real need of changing them.

I meant, the Ring of the Magi can turn out to be a pretty useful artifact. And the +3 cape also helped me a few times. Of course, if they were the bonus from a campaign scenario, I would chose the Wizard's Well. That he wanted to nerf just the other day.

I can understand the demand of changing the Wizard's well, but at this point I wouldn't. It's a cool piece for map makers. Probably the only change that could be considered is changing (buffed!) Mystic orb of Mana to be a Minor artifact, so the Well would be slightly more difficult to be combined, but that's really it.

Well the individual mana recovery items are worth very little now, but yeah Wizard's Well is still too much.
So yeah buff the 3 individual artifacts, but nerf Wizard's Well!

I never found much use for Ring of the Magi. It could perhaps be useful in the those long slow azz battles where you face a legion of golems or zombies and need to keep them slowed. But those battles are already absurd to begin with, because speed owns everything. Those battles could have been won with 1 Sprite as well, if you have the patience to move a Sprite around for several hours.

The effect of the ring gets overshadowed by other combination artifacts. It's a niche, but it can be really good in some situations. In normal maps thou, it's usually not worth going after.

Edit: I think it should be noted that The ring or duration artifacts in general are clearly better in Hota compared to SOD. Any hero can build up to 75% of Interference, which is quite alot. However, by using duration artifact one can somewhat counter high amounts of that.

Yeah I don't play with Interference, I prefer Resistance.
I allow both Resistance and Interference artifacts though.
