When I try to 'solve' a system I try to find a solution that is complete, with no exceptions to the limit of the system.

For pokemon though, it seems to me the game is just too balanced, or at least offensively orientated, for such a solution to be applyable.

This time around I thought about something like this:
#1 Something to set up stealth rock that can be removed quickly and can stop any kind of early sweeper.
#2 Something with a sleep move + double team + substitute + whirlwind/roar to set everyone to sleep and damage everyone (thereby remove the effect of anti sleep berry + remove the work of focus sash).
Then set up a speed increasing + double team + substitute + baton passer, turn over to a OHKO smeargle and sweep.

Though I go through the list of pokemons available now ever since gen IV, I see no pokemons satisfies all conditions I require for both stats and moves. Too bad Aerodactyl no longer can learn explosion and they invented those super fast pokemons, not to include that the best candidate for the sleep inducer would be Crobat and the best sleep move it can learn is hypnosis which has a horrible accuracity.

And I just realised that new moves such as taunt really can be irritating for such a setup due to Aerodactyl not being able to learn explosion.

[Any sturdy pokemon can be deatl with through the last 2 available slots, which likewise can serve as counters for clearly defined problem makers, though it'd be adviceable to at least have an extra smeargle with ingrain & baton pass as well].

'Grats!

And...ah...I know it's a little late to help you now, but maybe next time try a Heavy Ball? Lugia's a fairly heavy critter so they bump his catch rate up from 3 to 23, roughly doubling your odds. Plus they're free.

On a separate note, is the Pokewalker supposed to raise the Happiness of the Pokemon inside it? 'Cause I had my Sandslash in there for a little less than three weeks and she's still indifferent towards me. >.> Or does it only go up when the walk ends, like with the leveling up?

@Misty: Ooo, way to go!

@Kareeah: I have no idea. :S
All I do know is that if your Pokémon levels up during the stroll, it won't evolve/learn a move if it would normally do so.

Given that fact, and given what you have just said, it's probably safe to say that it doesn't boost happiness.

You think lugia is bad?
It's easy pickings.

Go try articuno in the original two. The bloodi bird has higher evasion than anything else. The catching isn't a problem in itself but hitting it with the ball is a real pain in the ass. Takes somewhere around 100 balls to hit and even then it usually breaks free...

Well used my 'automatic catch' on Entei.  So two legendaries down..and the lightning version of Entei (can't think of the name) is down to 1 hp..but will take a ton of time to catch..will need to work up some status pokemon to help things along).

If each step is one meter and the average person moves around for let's just say 4 hours a day, one meter a time and with an average speed of 5 kilometers / hours, that means 5000 steps pr. hours multiplied with 4 it gives 20000 steps. So I don't know how that thing works, but that's like doing nothing except what you do anyway for 2 days and all pokemons it affects is around level 100.

[We move around a lot more than we usually think we do, because we do it as a habit, it's mostly on more demanding tasks we really notice what we're doing].

Is there any pokemon that take half damage against Dragon types? .  I know ice types decimate them, and rock types against Dragonite even more so..but are there any that take half damage from Dragon type moves?

Ok currently here is my pokemon lineup for the Final Four, though I am hoping to catch Raikou to switch out for Jolteon..eventually.

Jolteon
Umbreon
Ghastly
Entei
Gyrados
Lugia

It is a strong team with two legendaries, but with one more legendary (or two if I can somehow get Suicine so I can replace Gyrados) it would be a very strong team.  Only Rock types are scary against this team so far.  Though going up against high level Dragons has proven difficult.

Most of mine are now at least 45, still working on Entei though(42)..Lugia is 47.  Get to the League Champion with a full team, but most of my powerful moves depleted (I now roll over the final four except when I get unlucky..if they build up too many stats boosting (like slowbro, or muk and it's minimize) I just roar the next one in and it resets them...or in muk's case..just use Umbreons Faint attack..Muk can minimize till doomsday and not change a thing.

I especially love focus slash if they manage to get a super effective against one of my pokemon.  Left with 1 hp and a chance to move to a pokemon they are weak against.

Anyhow..according to Pokemon Marriland team builder..this is a solid team.  Each has a move that is super effective against at least ONE of the types that are super effective against them.  (Ie Ice Fang on Gyrados in case of grass type).  Need some heart scales to make them better though..lol or some TM's.  Anyhow enough rambling.

Well if it is super rare, or legandary, chances are I will never get it. As for Jolteon, only a legendary are gonna take place of my Eevees.  Raikou or Zapdos, Registeel, etc.  I guess I could get another DS and Diamond/Pearl/Platinum to get a Emporeon (For the Gyrados).

Ahh ... an eevee lover! Stick with it then

Empoleon can make a good special wall, using for example surf, ice beam, stealth rock and grass knot. Not that I know much about it, just what I get from looking at the stats and possible movepool.

Seen 192, obtained 88 (this with only one trade so far).  Still having to fill out my Jonto dex , missing quite a few.  Beat the final four/champion though.  So now just to go back and find the ones I missed.
