Aye, a lot of them want to restore the glorious British empire. But a lot of them just want to have those pesky Slavs, Romanians and Muslims shipped off their island, while still enjoying all the benefits of being in the EU (plus a hefty 350m per week for the NHS). And almost as many as those two groups of people combined don't want to deal with any of this BS or are Poles and aren't allowed to vote because they can't afford citizenship.

@Neraus
Labour will fail big time next elections because Corbyn hasn't done anything of note to secure the Remain vote. I don't see him leading a majority government without big help from the Lib Dems (and maybe the Greens). Clowning street will be ever more enjoyable though, as they'll have to deal with an opposition almost entirely comprised of the Brexit party.

Besides Corbyn isn't THAT bad. He is no Sadiq Khan. Though I can't really think of a British politician that's OK. Maybe Bercow?

What I think is, the anti-Brexit troops are doing all in their power and beyond to go against what has been democratically voted by the people.

51.89% of the people that turned out voted to 'Leave', no further explanation given.

48.11% of the people that turned out voted to 'Remain', no further explanation given.

Both Labour and the Torries have Remainers and Brexiters among their ranks.

May tried to please both the 52% and the 48%, while respecting the result of the referendum and keeping both parties intact.

Nobody liked the compromise she had agreed upon with the EU, so now the hardliners are trying to hijack the show.

In the end, Brexit won't happen at all, because remaining is seen as less cataclysmic than no deal.

as a Romanian living in Netherlands with a Romanian couple who has lived in London for 2 years up to 3 months ago I have been told by this couple that Romanians stab people randomly on the streets in broad daylight, without any rhyme or reason. And London is full of us, especially the underground train zones. I had to ask the woman from this couple twice to confirm that what I've heard is true.

Now, I'm not saying that there aren't good faith Romanians out there, too, but if what she just told me today at work is true then I can't blame the Brits.

Knife attacks in London are majorly perpetrated by young blacks and minority ethnic groups. Romanians may as well, use knives to cut the turkey once a year.

2% more of the population wanted one thing over the other, we can go it's democratic, but 'will of the people' is pushing it so hard off the cliff not even a Welshman would be willing to risk it (). The only reason why our democratic system is even tolerable is because the opposition still has a say in what happens, what this is is one extreme or the other, the fact that only a couple of months was a cross-party cooperation even ****ing considered. Problem is though, that this issue cuts along party lines, for simplicity's sake we'll say half of labour and tories want brexit, that will still leave half the country unrepresented if everyone is banging on about Brexit is the will of the people when the higher ups are jumping on this retarded bandwagon. Though as a good Brit I suppose I have to concede that we have to play our part as Europe's n.1 ****-stirrers, divide et Imperata n all that.

Most of the hate for Eastern Europeans in the UK is completely unjustified and quite illogical, bolstered by rumours like this and the behaviour of certain ethnic minorities that are addressed by country of origin only and so give that country a bad name. And what Salamandre said is true, though I'd say the chav scum is also contributing.

It's not in British hands anyway. Even if they wanted to stay the EU would force the exit. Britain has had special rights within the EU, and the EU isn't unhappy about brexit - if that means, getting the full package back in a couple of years.
The Brits have the problem with Brexit. THEY will be disadvantaged. What do you think why Johnson said they hadn't anything to bargain with if they made a law against hard brexit. The problem is, Britain wouldn't gain anything with a hard brexit anywa - they never had anything to bargain with in the first place.

That's of course all apart from the fact that brexit doesn't make ANY sense for the Brits - but it's not unheard of that people willingly and open-eyed chose their demise.

any person with half brain would believe this when it comes from trustworthy people. Besides, I have personally met this type of people last year here in Netherlands, moreover I know how Romanians think (the criminal, uneducated type of loser I mean, which we have plenty of). So yes, I fell for it cause it's true.

it's not a rumor, sadly. Also, not most of the hate for Eastern Europeans is unjustified, only some of it. And I'm experiencing this hate first-hand here in Netherlands where, no matter how good you behave and how well you work, you just can't be the equal of Dutch people. Most Dutch are looking at us (me, and the couple that are living with me in the same house and which we all work together in the same company) as sub-species. They are polite towards us, yes, but a cold politeness. You just feel that they are considering us inferior no matter how hard we try to get on their good graces. And this is one side of the problem (where hate towards Romanians is not justified).

The other side is that last year I have worked here in Netherlands for 4,5 months and of all the Romanians I have encountered at the various jobs - without exaggerating - I think at least 60%, maybe 70% of them have been the criminal type (only coming here to "earn" money for free, looking to steal, mug, or scam others). Way too many Romanians crooks abroad, and bare in mind that Netherlands is still somewhat of a civilized country, where criminality rate is not as high as in London. And yet, I have experienced these issues first hand last year.

I'm not sure which side of this problem is worse for both parties (us, and the foreign countries where Romanians go to "work"), but it's a real issue, and it's bad no matter which side you're approaching it from. We, Romanians, need to learn to behave and get educated once and for all, or gtfo out of this planet. I don't see other solution to this problem because our government is made up of the same crooks as the inferior and middle class. Most decent Romanians have left abroad to work. I can name by the fingers of a single hand the friends and family members that I'm close to, and which are still in Romania. All other friends and relatives are working in Spain, Italy, Germany, USA, England, and France

That's Balkans for you. And one would expect that such negative, primitive behavior would only exist there. Just like some here commenting that nobody cares about this topic, but whatever.

But what's the most saddest thing, I see, is all of this is that the country itself has been in the EU for about 40 years, and all of this about leaving EU is just based on lies. It may seem a bit silly to you all, but my viewpoint of Western-Northern European countries is more about being the prime example of how well the country, and its people, are refined and well-organized. A complete contrast to Balkan, which has been mentioned.

Around half. A small majority still is a majority, if you don't respect a majority you're not in democracy. What is the alternative? Have a minority rule the world? Oh wait...

I agree it is a problem when a country is divided so closely, but I ask again how would you make the system better if you were to redefine it?

If a question has already been answered, in existing democracies the answer cannot be changed by a simple majority.
