this was sketch of mine for imps before h7 released, i was eager to mod for this game. i was like "hell yeah demons are a must. i ll do it myself if i have to!"
anyway, i thought about a concept where all demons have a bit industrial/factory like buildings, fueling their portals with their slaves and something like that... like they are some kind of an evil alien race.
and this one is a really big building, i imagined it like this: a mixture of things= a palace(on top)+ some part of brutalist apartments(middle part, for slaves to work on portal constantly) + a big wheel like spinning ring portal(below part)

let me know if you are interested in more, i cant find papers, but i have a digital pen and i can work on details/3d perspective. those images, in its current state, are nowhere near finished.

I have a few cents to toss in your plaguedoctors hat, see if it's any good:
Could you try to edit the hero movement indicator so that it resembles th HoMM3 one? The outlined arrows when you move, that's my goal. I dunno if it can be done or how would it look like, but I know I never liked the transparent dots of H5 (I don't remember if they were transparent in H6, trying to forget I ever touched that game) or dots at all (H7).
Second, could the suffered damage number on unit stack in combat be removed from display? It bothers me for some strange reason, like an unnecessary detail, wanna know if it can be removed.
(And please do a new body for that mummy from scratch, it's kinda ugly)

That shouldn't be that hard to do, if I'm not mistaken it's located in H7CombatGeneral, but don't take my word for it as I'm not entirely sure

New model from scratch, not sure, as it would require quite a bit of work, but if I find something to import from another game, be sure I will

wouldn't Striders' model and animation be fit for a mummy unit? Only the idle stance should change with the weird placing of the hands but apart from that, the move animation and the whole style of the strider, could provide good foundation for a mummy. Or maybe the ghoul from heroes vi?

There are already a lot of good free 3d models out there. So I found this with just 2 minutes of googling. Being rigged, all it needs is an animation, but now I got an interesting plug-in to help me with that. And this can be our new zombie.
I gotta thank foxxer for showing me that program that helps you with animations

Erm, Lizzie, I'd like for you to watch out for the description of those models.
The zombie model comes from Fallout, and as far as I know, Bethesda doesn't like at all when their models are used outside their game.
Heck, they don't even allow putting assets from one of their games to another.

I may have not be clear enough on the point, just a quick add:
the point is to have only the number of units that died displayed, like before. H5 style of combat display is what I approve most so far, late editions it's been all too clustered.
If you could test this in the game, and I'm sure you are likely to do it before I can even if you handguided me into making the change(I don't own the game but I have a place where I can play it), I would be very grateful

I think that many people would love that. I absolutely adore some of your modified units, like Dragons, Skeletons and Spiders, but many others are too... wonky, at least to my taste. If you ever wonder to upload files of the individual models, don't hesitate : D

I can only join this request. Generally, the most serious issue of bigger mods is that people might refuse to download the mod if it both improves the mechanics and also changes something people used to like in the "original" game version. If more mods are compatible with each other, they usually include something for everyone, and the amount of satissfied players with these mods significantly increases. Obviously the more bizarre or radical changes the mod brings, the more difficult is to "convince" people about downaloading it.

The words "maybe" and "someday" are keywords here To be frank, H7 is becoming quite tiresome for me, a man can endure only that many crashes before giving up . I also didn't say I will break the mod into more parts, but to other mini-mods, like camera, platoon stacks, morale/luck raised caps. Also the mod doesn't replace any creature, it just adds new creatures, you will still be able to fight ashanities on the adventure map (ofc new creatures will spawn also as guards), just that you won't be able to recruit them in towns anymore.
