The problem occurs when the state forces people's empathy and compassion towards criminals, when for example it advocates regularizing eleven millions of illegals, but in the same time, if you, as legal citizen and hard worker, slip some error in your taxes reports, it will literally break you as individual. Moreover, your criminal record will be filled then you will face further social discrimination, as impossibility to access to several jobs, your social rank then will be frozen etc.
We know that an illegal is supposed to have hidden its income for years, yet he will get out without any concern. And here you have the people expressing their discontent against such rotten ideologies based on emotions, you call this populism. But is nothing else than seek for equality as the law is clearly ignored for some.

what verriker said, plus the fact that i'm no leader. i COULD lead, but people would find my type of leading to be a bit too... harsh? because if i was in charge, you'd better believe that all of my choked-down nastiness would manifest itself into reality. at least, until someone shot me dead. which very well may happen to trump, if he doesn't push their agenda. i think he'll play ball, though. i think maybe he's smart enough to know what's at stake. namely, his and his family's lives.

I know Fred. I've never seen you fall for the Left's stuff either. Most gaming franchises update their engines significantly (for the better most of the time) between releases, for a better more expansive game. Why then are governments in the same framework as they were at conception with minor additions that accomodate some of modern standards. Why are we not expanding and improving and instead merely aim to maintain the status-quo. It's because those in control already have it good, and they're not keen on changing something that works for them, they just have to make sure that at least 60% of the population can get by and they win.

Except, right-wing politics is not demonized in the U.S., on the contrary, they are overwhelmingly popular. You can't understand this from a European spectrum where there is a healthy left-wing. Do you realize that some right-wing Americans call even Obama a Marxist, not as a joke or anything, literally.

Artu, you should know by now I am a Classic Liberal and the present Left is not the old Left and the present Right is not the old Right. Surely you know this?
Terms have been corrupted in the new propagandas from both sides. Both parties are not real old school Parties. They represent a clash of power-mongers that would sell-out for any gain in power or money. I've just watched vids on real congressional hearings with high-level people in the DEA, FCC and IRS and what I saw was beyond negative description. One woman that holds a very high post and ranking and is paid the big-bucks could not under-oath name the people that report to her. In another instance a federal employee gets paid nearly 3/4 of a million telling what any Federal person working could have learned for free, if they had only bothered to connect two-dots.
Crying about the despicable Trump who is not my cup o' java and then not seeing what the hell as happened to the USA since the train began de-railing "at least" as far back as Bush Sr. is an even worse proposition. This nation is in Chaos and full of lies, deceit and corruption. This present Government has been entrenched and is a far worse animal...like it or not. In the end. I saw thru Sanders (which should be proof now with his pandering to Hillary after being high-jacked) and decided if the Pillsbury doughboy ran...he'd have my vote...and he got it. 
I'll say it again; "The Spirit of Party is the bane of this nation" George Washington 1796. In this last pseudo-election...we didn't even have "platforms of ideas" now did we? It was all image-propaganda, which is perfect for voyeurs that have brains that only recognize images and critical-thinking is too much hassle.
