It's pronounced like "fortify", or you can add the "puh" if you've had practice with the "Pfh" sound, i.e. play marathon. Acceptable abbreviations are: Pfhort, fort, Pfh, Pf, 40, 40fy, or anything else you can think of.

I live in Holland (that's why my English probably sucks ) and I've had Heroes since i was a kid. But from now I want to play seriously, and become better!

Hi,My Name is Vampcorn(Stupid me forgot to capitalize the first letter). I played the first heroes of might and magic forever ago. Recently I saw Heroes of Might and Magic V at target and it was reletivly cheap so I decided to buy it. I FREAKIN' LOVE IT! I made it half-way through the Demons Campaign when my computer stop working... I'm now forced to use this god-forsaken laptop until my Desktop gets back. Anyway, I found this site when I was looking up information about HoMM and I decided to join. I'm interested in making creatures and factions and I was wondering if there was some kind of program or guide that could help. Thanks

Unfortunately it is pretty hard to make creatures, but if you think you can do it then check out the Modder's Workshop sub-forum and the stickies there... they're a good start.
